IMPORTANT CHANGE IN CCDC REQUIREMENTS!!
Keeping in line with current State requirements
and most other ICRC member boards, MAPCB has changed the
educational requirement for the CCDC from a master's to a
bachelor's degree. MAPCB may offer a master's level credential
in the future. In the meantime, those counselors who were
seeking to fulfill the master's requirement to obtain a
reciprocal credential can now use the bachelor's
degree that qualifies them for the State CAC-AD
credential. Call or
email MAPCB to find out how to complete the
process to become a CCDC!
LAPSED CREDENTIALS. Any previous
holder of a CCDC with MAPCB who let their credential lapse no
further back than January 1, 2001 may ask for a reinstatement
provided certain criteria is met. 1) Proof of required
CEU's for that lapsed time on a case by case basis, to be
reviewed by MAPCB, or 2) proof of a current license/credential
issued by the State of Maryland. 3) Pay $10 per lapsed
month as well as the required $50 for the current year's
certification.
THE NEXT WRITTEN EXAM will be
held March 8, 2008. Site to be selected. If you
have taken the written exam and have chosen to go on for the
reciprocal credential, begin preparing your case presentation
now. Upon receipt of your passing score on the written exam,
you may go ahead and submit your case presentation and fee to
be scheduled to sit for the oral exam. For information on the
value of the reciprocal credential, please go to the Certification
page. |
